Brief Review
A smooth talking cool spy teams up with a weird and awkward but brilliant young scientist in order to save the world. Spies in Disguise is definitely geared towards younger kids. However it isn’t bad. Although it’s definitely weird and out there. The gadgets are weird and funny, the scientist is awkward and weird and it’s just overall unique. But that’s honestly the best part of the movie. It totally embraces its own wackiness and weirdness, which makes it more fun! Embrace the wacky and you will enjoy it much more! The plot isn’t that interesting and they do force messages of pacifism and embracing your weirdness but whatever. It’s a kid’s movie let it go. This isn’t the best animated movie, but it is oddly endearing and fun in its own wacky way. There’s definitely better animated movies to watch that I would recommend over this one. If you get stuck watching this one though, it could be a lot worse. If you have the choice, I would really only recommend Spies in Disguise for younger kids.
