Brief Review

After going their separate ways for college, the group returns to Jumanji with some new faces. I really enjoyed the previous Jumanji movie so I was disappointed with this one. It just isn’t nearly as enjoyable. I thought the previous one was very funny and I was laughing for most of it. Not that this one wasn’t funny at all, but the good jokes were fewer and farther between. And while this isn’t a movie you watch for the plot, the plot was also just kind of there and didn’t add anything to the movie. It wasn’t all bad, it still has its moments where it is funny and there are still enjoyable action scenes, but it just doesn’t put it together as frequently as the first one did. Maybe I’m being a little harsh because of my expectations after the first one, but I wasn’t a huge fan. Sure you can watch it if you have already seen the first and you might like it, but you likely won’t enjoy it as much. Unfortunately, I would much rather just rewatch the first one instead.
