Brief Review
A team of female spies work with a corporate whistleblower to stop her invention from being weaponized. Look Charlie’s Angels isn’t a great movie by any means, but I would watch a sequel of it. In the end it really boils down to being a fairly standard spy movie, except with an all female cast. There’s a lot of “girl power” going on in this movie and it is definitely noticeable but it doesn’t ruin the movie. Unfortunately, there’s nothing really new or groundbreaking and you will probably feel like you have already seen it. However that doesn’t necessarily mean it is bad. The action scenes are pretty good and they’re fun to watch. The plot has a pretty typical spy movie twist to it, but it is fine. There are some jokes that are pretty funny, but nothing hilarious. All around Charlie’s Angels is totally fine. It definitely won’t be the best movie you see all year, but it also isn’t the worse. It is fairly similar to Ocean’s 8, however I think this one is a bit more fun. You should know what you’re getting into with this one, so don’t overthink it.
