Brief Review
After being framed for a failed assassination attempt on the president, a secret service agent tries to clear his name while still protecting the president from his actual assailants. So Angel Has Fallen is technically the third movie in a series (Olympus Has Fallen and London Has Fallen) however there’s absolutely no need to have seen the others to see this one. If you have seen the others, this is basically the same movie! So if did (didn’t) enjoy either/both of those, you probably will (won’t) enjoy this one (super helpful… I know). As for this movie, it is basically your typical cliché action movie. The plot is pretty basic, with a couple minor turns here and there, but definitely nothing exceptional. You have a little bit of humor and a little bit of emotion blended with some cool fight scenes and plenty of entertaining explosions and that’s basically the movie! It really is just a mindless but entertaining action movie. There’s a time and place that I enjoy movies like this but I don’t think that I would necessarily watch it again (except maybe the last scene which was pretty cool). I am definitely not upset that I watched this movie though and I did enjoy it while watching it. Not much to say here, all in Angel Has Fallen is pretty mediocre.
