Brief Review
Woody’s new child Bonnie creates a toy named Forky who doesn’t believe that he is a real toy, so Woody takes it upon himself to convince Forky of his importance to Bonnie. After Toy Story 3 ended in such an amazing way, I don’t think I ever thought there would be a Toy Story 4, nor did I ever want one. So I was genuinely worried this movie would feel like a huge cash grab and would put a black spot on the series. With that being said I was more than thrilled with this movie. It was everything I could have hoped for. Where Toy Story 3 was a more emotional movie, Toy Story 4 is a very funny and just a very fun movie to watch. I can’t overstate how funny the movie is, I was laughing from nearly the first scene to the last scene. And I don’t just mean funny for kids, it was genuinely funny for kids and adults alike. While the movie is very fun and funny, there is actually a really good story about growing up and how life changes. There are also a handful of new characters and characters that we haven’t seen before that all add to the movie. My only complaint with this movie, which admittedly is a very minor one would be some of the classic character like Buzz are not that important and almost feel like add-ons. Otherwise, this is classic Pixar magic where an animated kid’s movie can be genuinely enjoyable for both kids and adults alike. I think this is a must see for both returning fans of the series and new kids who aren’t familiar with the series.
