Brief Review
After a chance encounter leads to a NYC cop and his wife joining a billionaire on his yacht, they become prime suspects in a murder. Murder Mystery is really your typical Adam Sandler movie. He plays a goofy husband who has lied to his wife (Jennifer Anniston) about actually becoming a detective and is forced to solve a murder. Look, you will probably know going into this movie if you would like it or not. I am generally a fan of Adam Sandler and his goofy style, so I enjoyed it. I get a lot of people aren’t a fan of his movies and this one likely wouldn’t be any different. While I don’t think this is one of his best movies at all, I liked it. There are really two big positives to Murder Mystery. First, there are a lot of funny moments and it even has some charming moments at times. Secondly, Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston work well together and have good chemistry. Overall I don’t know if I would go out of my way to watch it again, but I would definitely watch it if it was on.
