Brief Review
A sequel to the excellent Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph and Vanellope leave their arcade games and enter the world of the internet. Not that this is a bad movie, it just doesn’t live up to the first one. I just didn’t think the story was as good as the first movie. The first was very original and heartwarming, but this one feels kind of confused and forced. While it is funny, at times the humor can feel stuck between being aimed at kids and adults. It just doesn’t work as naturally as the first one did. However this isn’t a bad movie by itself, it just has a really tough comparison. If you haven’t seen the original, you might even like this one more than I did. It is still funny, entertaining, and it does a good job poking fun of the internet. Ultimately, this movie is totally fine, but if you loved the first one, don’t expect this one to live up to it.
