Brief Review
Based on a true story of a couple that becomes foster parents to a teenage girl and her two younger siblings. While it is a movie about a family, it is definitely a pg-13 movie with some adult jokes and topics. This movie really had it all. It was really cute, really funny, really sad and really emotional. The story isn’t anything unexpected or exceptional, it is just very well executed. It’s very realistic and follows the ups and downs of being parents, especially foster parents, which allows you to really connect with both the parents and kids. You will find yourself becoming emotionally attached to them throughout the movie. It was also a very funny movie. There were multiple times that I laughed out loud and a couple of times that I was almost in tears laughing so hard. They balance the humor perfectly with a couple waterfall moments and overall you become very emotionally involved. A feel-good movie that is good for families or just to watch by yourself. I’m a really big fan of this movie, this is one that I will watch multiple times and am already excited to watch again. Definitely worth a watch.
