Brief Review
Tom Cruise returns as international spy Ethan Hunt, as he tries to save the world from a mission gone wrong. Even though this is the sixth film in the Mission Impossible franchise, you don’t need to have seen the others to enjoy it. Obviously having seen them is helpful, but it is surprisingly not imperative. To its core, this is an action movie. It’s the type of movie people think of when they hear “blockbuster action movie”. Fight scenes, car chases, and explosions galore. Underneath the action is a fairly complex and interesting spy movie that really makes this more than a bunch of explosions. The twists, deception and double agents combined with the amazing stunts this franchise is known for, really makes this a fun movie to watch. The only thing that kept me from absolutely loving it, is at times you might roll your eyes at how unrealistic some parts are. But what can you really expect from a movie called Mission Impossible? Take this action movie for what it is and enjoy it, it really is a good movie.
