Brief Review
Overboard is a remake of the of a 1987 movie about a rich billionaire that develops amnesia and is tricked into thinking he is married to a single, working-class mom. It is similar to, although nearly not as good as, 50 First Dates. The beginning of the movie was almost painful, with almost no actual comedy. Thankfully the movie does pick up and after some time and develops into a cheesy but cute Rom-Com. Make no mistake, this is a formulaic and cheesy movie, but if your expectations are right, this movie is fine. There are definitely both better movies and Rom-Coms, but this formulaic one has some cute moments.
