Brief Review

Game Night is about a group of friends’ weekly game night that takes a turn when they try a murder mystery party that turns out to be much more realistic than they had imagined. This movie is a refreshing comedy. Unlike most R-rated comedies, it is not a raunchy comedy and is instead just plain fun. The plot is over the top and ridiculous, but that is really the point of it. There are some jokes that do not work, but for the majority a lot of the jokes hit. There are even some genuinely laugh out loud funny moments. Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, and Jesse Plemons all play very funny characters and the rest of the cast fills their roles. This is not an all-time classic great comedy, but it is a funny movie that is worth watching.
