Brief Review
The Greatest Showman tells the story of PT Barnum and the founding of Barnum & Bailey Circus. At its heart, The Greatest Showman is like going to the circus, while not everything is perfect, it is fun and entertaining. This movie is a fun and upbeat musical that will keep you entertained throughout. The movie is more of a spectacle (like a circus) than an amazing story. The plot is a little lacking but endearing throughout. At times it can feel as if they are jumping from song to song with little plot development in between. One thing that I did notice is that during all the songs, it is pretty obvious that they aren’t singing live. The songs themselves were good and the dances are very entertaining involving many impressive stunts. Overall, The Greatest Showman is an upbeat musical that will keep you entertained throughout.
