Brief Review

While the premise of Just Getting Started had promise, this movie under delivered and underwhelmed. The movie has very few truly funny moments. It wasn’t a total drag to watch, but was only mildly entertaining and at times outright boring. The plot gets away from itself and tries to do too much in order to save the movie. The plot truthfully detracts from the movie, as the film’s highlights are when the plot isn’t even being developed. Both Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones give uninspired performances and most of the other characters are entirely inconsequential. While this movie may be funnier to an older crowd, most wouldn’t consider this movie worthwhile.
