Brief Review
After receiving a message from the dead M, James Bond is sent on a mission to uncover a new terrorist organization, while also dealing with the government trying to shut down MI6. After the very good Skyfall, Spectre is a fairly underwhelming addition to the Bond series. I would call it average at best. Long stretches of the movie feel fairly slow and uninteresting, and overall it becomes a pretty forgettable movie. It isn’t all bad, it’s still a James Bond movie with gadgets and spy scenes, but it never truly works. Spectre also connects all of the previous Daniel Craig movies and while this adds an interesting element to it, it is too little too late. Although you don’t have to have seen the previous movies to follow the story, it is just a bonus. For avid fans of James Bond, this is worth watching, for everyone else, it is fine, but there are better options out there.
