Brief Review

After a timid father starts coaching his son’s soccer team, he becomes obsessed with beating the team that his father coaches. This is a pretty typical Will Ferrell movie. Yes it is dumb and silly, but it is still funny. And while it doesn’t have a great story, the premise itself is funny and Will Ferrell makes it work. There are also a handful of other characters, especially the kids, who add to the movie. It is definitely much better if you find Will Ferrell funny, but even if you don’t, I don’t think you will dislike this movie. It is one of the more quotable family movies you will ever watch. Go in expecting a ridiculous and silly movie and you will get some laughs out of it.
