Brief Review
Based on the Dr. Seuss book, the Grinch tries to ruin Christmas for the Christmas loving Whoville. I’ve watched this movie for years and I still enjoy it. It isn’t the best Christmas movie, but it definitely still makes me laugh and I do like to watch it during Christmas time. I don’t consider it a must watch Christmas movie, but I still watch it most years. As I have gotten older I have also noticed just how funny some of the jokes are, normal things that I just didn’t understand when I was younger. Jim Carrey is perfect for the role, he perfectly captures the oddities of the movie. The rest of the movie is average, but Jim Carrey really carries it. Overall it is a good family Christmas movie, but it shouldn’t be the first one you watch.
